At Laser Electrical Noosaville we strongly believe in giving back to the local community.

Every year as part of our annual conference the electricians and plumbers of the Laser Group task force carry out a local project, using their skills to give back to the community hosting the conference.

Charities who have received assistance in previous years from Laser Group include the Gold Coast Youth Services, Habitat for Humanity in New Zealand and Variety in Australia.

Cairns 2017

This year the conference was held in tropical cairns and the laser electricians and plumbers donated time and materials to the Centennial Lodge, which is run by the Salvation Army provides crisis accommodation for up to 50 men, women and children.

The taskforce painted the external buildings, replaced faulty wiring and replaced the aged lights, roofing and shower heads as well as painting and landscaping the grounds

All of the rooms at the lodge also received a spring clean, with the work and supplies donated valued at over $105,000. Captain Cara Brackstone from the Salvation Army said that even four days after the taskforce project she was still amazed at the changes achieved.

"As well as the economic and practical impact, the impact on the morale of both the workers and residents has been inspiring. People are amazed by what was achieved in such a short period of time and overwhelmed by the effort made by Laser and its Members."

Fiji 2015

In 2015, we attended Laser Group's annual conference in Fiji. Whilst in Fiji the Laser group donated time and materials to the local education sector to improve two local schools with combined enrollments of over 2000 students. We teamed up with NGO Reach 4 your future foundation project to carry out the project valued at $152,000

The task force consisted of both electricians and plumbers who are members of the Laser group from both Australia and New Zealand. Established in 1926, Votualevu Public school currently has 923 students enrolled up to year 7. In recent years the school has been affected by fire and floods. Currently, when it rains, the children are moved to another area due to a severe leak in the roof. The school suffers regular disruptions from power failures. Located 8 minutes from the Nadi airport, the Public School provides education to children from kindergarten to grade 6 with over 1000 enrollments. Laser plumbing replaced the roof, drainage a new water pump and a drinking fountain whilst Laser electrical re wired the classrooms.

Laser Electrical Noosaville fitted a new solar system supplied by our partners at Solar Solutions on the Fiji Technical College Nadi Campus. The technical college provides training to over 400 students in a number of trade areas including welding, plumbing, and mechanics. Claude and Andrew from solar solutions provided lessons to the students on renewable energy. While Darren and Will from Laser Electrical Noosaville fitted the solar system with the help of the keen technical college students.
